WEBINAR
Fostering Healthy Relationships and Preventing Abuse
October 13, 2026
1:00–2:30 p.m.
About the Webinar
Knowledge is power. People with disabilities experience abuse at much higher rates than those without disabilities, but supporters can make a big difference.
The LEAP© Project (Leadership for Empowerment and Abuse Prevention), at VCU’s Partnership for People with Disabilities, will share simple, practical ways to help the people you support build safe, respectful relationships and recognize when something doesn’t feel right.
Learn how to boost confidence, independence, and safety, while strengthening your connection along the way.
